2010 Trip Schedule

Whitewater paddling is a risky outdoor sport. BRV is not responsible for any individual’s decision to participate in a trip, or for his or her decision to run any river or section of a river.

Please Note:

BRV members receive a club roster that contains an initial 2010 trip schedule as well as contact information for the entire club.
The schedule below remains a work in progress. Trips will be added or cancelled during the season, so stay tuned to this page, The Voyageur newsletter, and “BRV This Week” emails for updates.
Trips are subject to change in both date and location due to river levels, weather and other safety considerations, and to the preferences of trip leaders.
You must communicate directly with the trip leader before the trip. He or she will inform you about logistics, etc. Trip leaders are volunteers and retain the right to deny participation to non club members or those whose skills, experience or gear they suspect may be insufficient to safely participate.

Notes:

For mid-week pick up trips, contact Steve Ettinger, leader of the “Thursday Paddlers,” an informal group of paddlers with a knack for taking full advantage of midweek rainfall and bagging the best rivers, creeks and rarely run ditches within a three-hour dive of the DC Metro area.
For all Lower Yough trips, please contact the trip leader no later than Wednesday to reserve weekend permits.
2010 Bloomington Spring releases dates are April 24-25, May 1-2, May 15-16, May 29-30; Lehigh release dates are: May 15, May 29-30, June 12-13, June 26-27, July 10-11, July 24-25, Aug. 7-8, Aug. 21-22, Sept. 4-5, Sept.18-19, Oct. 2-3, and Oct.16-17.
